Are There Any Alternatives For Dish Network Satellite?

By Dish Installer

Well, let’s begin.
I called Dish Network and they brought a guy over. The guy went on my roof and all that. Then he said that there were too many trees.
Are there any alternatives for the Dish Network satellite?
If there are, please tell me.
Thanks!

All of the satellites are lined up over the equator of the earth. If you have trees blocking your view of the Echostar (Dish Network) satellites, then likely you will have the same difficulties with ANY satellite service.
If you can’t prune the trees to give a clear view of the southern sky, you may have to go with traditional cable, or one of the new offerings like Verizon FIOS or ATT U-verse. You could also put up an antenna and view your local stations Over The Air.
I hope this helps. Please return and select a Best Answer from all of those submitted.

If you’re talking about alternative Satellite providers, then there’s DirecTV. DirecTV is currently the leader in HD service, so if you have an HDTV, there’s no better way to go! They have almost 100 of their channels in HD! If you don’ thave an HDTV, they still provide great digital picture in SD and is typically around the same price as Dish network. Check them out at http://www.directv.com to take a look at their options. However, if Dish had a hard time sending you a signal because of tree location at your home, that doesn’t mean DirecTV won’t have the same issue. Both DirecTV and Dish offer “FREE basic installation” You may have to end up paying for “Custom installation” To run more wires and maybe place the satellite dish in a “custom” area with special installation to make it work. Typically this can run anywhere from $50-$300 depending on what they need to do. You can try and call back Dish and see if this is an option. If they cannot do this, call DirecTV at 1-800-DIRECTV and see what they can do for you. It’s good to do a little research and find out which would be best for you. Hope this helps!

I will make this simple for you. If you can not get dish network,
Have a direct TV tech look at your situation. The reason I say this is direct TVs satellites are 10-12 degrees higher in the sky. Some times when you can not get dish you can get direct.
